Some links from radio show

On Feb. 21, at an indecently early hour for a Sunday morning, I am hosting Mike Nowak's radio show on WCPT. This here post is a collection of links to things that I might (or might not) mention on the air tomorrow, which I am posting so I can say, "for more information on any of this stuff, see my blog, growinginChicago.org." Crafty, huh?

And if I don't get around to mentioning any of them, or all of them, they are still here to be clicked on if they look interesting anyhow.

Hi Beth,

I'll be listening to see what kind of seed buying tips your guest will have.

BTW, have you voted for your favorite flower for One Seed Chicago yet?

Hi Beth,

Thanks for your upcoming event schedule. I did register for the Arboretum Symposium on Friday.

Also, saw your article in the Trib this am. I agree with most of the good and bad, except I have had very good luck with the Chanticleer
Pear because of its columnar growth. I love the River Birch, but I had it planted in a swale at my other home, plenty of water, and it did fine. There were years that I noticed the yellowing of the leaves, but it came back strong each year.

Again, thank you for the event listing.
